Windows System Image Overwrites Previous Image

I created a Windows System Image on 9 Jan. on my external 1 terabyte USB drive. Windows put it in a folder called
"WindowsImageBackup".
I created a 2nd on 11 Jan and discovered that the 1st one had been removed from that folder, only my recent one there.
Since only 103 gb were used, I would like to keep several images - but how?

if you rename the current "WindowsImageBackup" to say "WindowsImageBackup_1" then make new image but from memory if ever you need to use that particular image you will have to do a bit of name changing to restore from earlier image.

    does that make sense

Can't recalll definitely if i've ever had to rely on a previous image

Maybe someone who has restored can give you that answer.

Thanks, Brad. It is indeed more primirtive than the copying of a file to a folder, which does its own numbering. I will rename before next Windows Image creation.
