I have 32GB on my Aspire One 1-431 with a 64GB SD card. The latest Windows 10 update won't install due to lack of diskspace. Says In need 8GB free. I have NO extra apps installed except Avast and Firefox.  How can I be using 25GB out of 28GB with just the standard Acer distribution + Avast + Firefox? Of course I realize the update file itself takes some space (lots)... but it seems pointless to have an OS and a machine bundle that won't even let you run updates... especially since the WannaCry security update seems like a patch I should have Smiley Happy I'm thinking maybe I should burn off the windows and go Ubuntu but what a pain Smiley Sad Thanks for your help!!!

    first of all, do a disk cleanup:

    windows logo key
    type
    disk cleanup
    click on disk cleanup
    click on Clean up system files
    let it scan
    then tick the files you want to delete, it's safe to do it
    at the end press ok and let it clean the HDD for you

    then check if your 64GB card is formatted as NFTS, if not, windows can't use it as additional storage for updates.

    to check how is it formatted, right click on file explorer your SD card, choose Properties and check File system.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
