Touchscreen issue: Acer Aspire V5-122P downgraded to Windows 7 64 Bit

After my stock HDD crashed, I replaced it and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit instead of the Acer-installed Windows 8. This has made my computer considerably faster.  Initially my touchscreen worked, but after I installed the 3rd party drivers designed to work with Win7, it stopped responding.

Does anyone have any experience with downgrading and getting the touchscreen to work? thanks for your help.

Does Device Mgr find any issues?
