Replacing motherboard and CPU on an Aspire 5560

It would seem the CMOS or something else on my 5560 got corrupted permanently.

I see some affordable MB + CPU replacement parts.

I am comfortable with replacing the MB.  Not sure about the CPU (does one need a special tool to lift the chip out of the socket?).  I do have thermal paste to apply on the replacement.

What CPU can I upgrade with, if there is any advantage to doing so (i.e., is the system limited elsewhere such as clock spped, RAM). The OEM CPU is an AMD A6-3420M.

Thanks for the info.  So if I go with the A8-3420M, I will only get a slight uptick in flops and of course slightly better graphics (6620 instead of 6520).  Cost is just about ....   €30 including shipping.
