Hello Smiley Happy

We have spent some time this christmas trying to replace the HDD with a SSD on the Acer Aspire S3-391
After receiving the recovery CDs to help installing the OS and so on we started the work with replacing the disk.

We open up the machine according to the service manual and replaced the HDD with a SSD, the first error came in the bios.
"HDD Password is frozen» To fix this we cleared the bios password with following the instructions in chapter 5-5 and removed the built in mSATA 20Gb SSD, turned it on and off again, then installed the mSATA again.
Password was cleared and we started the recovery from a external DVD-rom with the Acer DVDs you guys sent us.
We choose to reset to factory settings and started the long and very dull process of reinstalling the OS.

With no errors and finishing the reinstallation the computer restarts and the first error show.
«Windows boot manager boot failed» and the «hdd password is frozen» again.
We repeated the process of resetting the password. Same error recurred.

We started the process all over again, with installing with the DVDs, but this time factory settings did not work due to the disk being filled with data. We restarted with windows 8.1 install ISO on a USB, ran DISKPART and removed all partition and volumes. Cleared the disks, both the mSATA 20Gb SSD and the Samsung 840 Pro 120Gb.

The we started the process again, but ended up with the same error, locked disk and boot manager boot fail.
We also tried installing with recovery DVDs in legacy bios, but we could not start the recovery process.
We also tried installing in UEFI-mode without the mSATA-drive.
We ended up with the 500Gb HDD again, but really want to install the SSD due to self explanatory reasons.

What to do ?
We really want to install the SSD and get a hold of the issues.
