One year of use and my asipre craps out

I've had my laptop for a year. It ran out of warranty one month ago. Now it deactivated my windows operating system. When I did a system restore and try to activate my windows it jumps me right back to the start menu. It won't even load the activation screen on my laptop. I called them and they said 279 dollars to ship it to them and have it fixed. Except that doesn't even cover the coast I'm going to pay to even ship it in the first place or the taxes I'll pay on top of that. If this is the quality of product they are selling then I will go right back to HP. unless someone on here knows a way to get this thing to work without sending it to them which I won't do. I'll just buy a different laptop.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your system, let's see what we can do to resolve this for you. The product key does not deactivate as it is injected into the motherboard itself, you should only experience problems if a piece of hardware in the system was changed out.

If that was done, you should be able to go through these steps and see if that resolves your issue. If not, you can attempt to activate the product key by phone.
