OS can't be installed

Hi everybody,

I've got a serious issue with ACER Aspire 8530G.

First, the hard disk (WD Scorpio Blue 640GB) failed. So, I replaced it with another WD Scorpio Blue (700 GB).

Details :

I tried to install Windows 7 on the new hard disk : both the Home and Pro versions failed to install.

I went through the installation process and just after the restart Windows never showed up.

I tried to get some specific diagnostics tools for Acer hardware that I could install on a bootable USB drive but can't find any bootable tool.

Can you please tell me how to fix this problem ?

Thanks.

    Shao,

I find it very odd that two different operating systems would not install on a different hard drive.

    1. Is the hard drive you are trying to use now a new one?
    2. Does the WD Scorpio Blue have any formatting or partitions created on it before the process was attempted? If so, erase them and create them only when running the installation of the operating system.
    3. If you still can't get the operating system to install it could be a different piece of hardware that might be having a problem.
