No post on external screen, not possible to enter bios

Hi folks,

I have been busy with an Acer Aspire 7736Z, which has a broken screen. it's still running windows 7 home.

An external screen works, but only when the windows logon is presented.

Therefor it is not possible to enter the bios, which is a Phoenix - not uefi  style-

bios.  Since I cannot see the post on the external screen.

The screen of the laptop itself shows the backlight, but no info or image whatsoever.

Can't use the resque disks for the same reason, and cannot use the recovery mode,

I flashed the (same) bios, but the F2 key (bios) and or the F12 key for bootorder give no visible options...

I would like to install win 7 ultimate and erase all the recoverypartitions, and be able to enter the bios (to do so)

Any suggestions are welcome ;-)

So the external monitor is black until windows 7 login screen comes on? You can't enter bios at startup by hitting the f2 or escape key or whatever the key is for your laptop and see it on the external monitor?

I would try running these 5 steps with your external monitor connected just to see what happens.

Jeez, every part of the hardware can

    Apparently cause a serious malfunction

    I think it's a sofware jack.

    Can't crack it though...

    LOL

    non used since 2012

yakes a lot of time to get all existing updates

    But os is called

    windows home premium

    I usually only use ultimate

    The cracked one ;-)

    Destined to give it away
