Obtained a brand-new Acer Icona Tab A700 tablet almost exactly one year ago and it "died" a few days ago; it will not turn-on or charge, no light comes on at all. I tried the reset thing with a paper clip, no response. I then contacted live chat help and was told it was out of warranty and nothing could be done, I would have to pay to have this 1-year-old device repaired. Completely unacceptable customer service! I'm very, very diasappointed in Acer and plan to make my experience as widely known as possible.

If you don't want to send it to Acer, take it to a shop that repairs phones and tablets. The thing is more a phone than a computer. They will be able to tell you what's wrong with it and they probably won't charge you much.
