I have an Aspre5750.

I did a recovery and it failed halfway through my son pulled the power chord out and the battery died.

Now when I boot up it says 'Window could not complete the installation. To Install windows on this computer, restart the installation.

When I restart I cant it just goes back the the same screen.

Now I bought a windows 8 disc and do I have an old recovery disc only problem is I cant access the boot menu to boot the CD drive(it doesnt start automatically) becuase the keyboard wont work the only thing working is the touch pad.

Im assuming during the original recovery it didnt install (insert correct tech terminolgy)the keyboard.

Can anyone help please.

so, if you try to press F2 or F12 at boot, doesn't work?

the OS installation is not the culript, since the keyboard is initialized at low level on hardware.

exactly none of the keys work at all.  I can occasionally get to the screen where it says 'to boot from cd drive press any key' but of course the keyboard wont work.

please try to find an USB keyboard and connect it, then try to boot from CD.
