Is my Aspire 5755G compatible for use with a Miracast WiFi TV.

My laptop has been upgraded to Windows 10. It has an Intel i5 processor and Nplify 802.11b/g/n wifi.

I bought a new Sony Bravia TV that has Direct-WiFi and Screen Mirroring.

The laptop recognised the TV on Devices search but could not seem to connect. Eventually after a lot of toing and froing with both laptop and TV settings ( I had to remove the router from the network etc etc ) the laptop showed up on my TV.

Unfortunately I now cannot see the TV on my laptop ! ( I've searched several times ) So cannot connect for screen mirroring.

Many thanks for you prompt reply which was a perfect solution to my question. I have followed the instructions and get the following:

    System Information: Miracast: Not available.

Display Devices: Miracast: Not supported by graphics driver.

What can I do now without buying a new laptop ?

From what I've read, the Nvidia isn't involved and when you are using the Miracast/Widi, you disable the Nvidia in Device Manager.

Try installing the latest graphics driver from Intel and if it works, run dxdiag again and see if the results have changed.
