If I want to boot from a USB on the Acer Aspire One D250 1622, what is the drive I should boot on?

When I go into the Bios of the Acer Aspire One D250 1622 this is what I see

in the BOOT section:

1. IDEO : Hitachi HTS54501689A300

2. IDEI  :

3. USB FDD  :

4. Network Boot  : Atheros Boot Agent

5. USB CDROM  :

6. USB HDD  :

There are three USB drives on this laptop.

If looking at the monitor, two are on the right and one on the left.

QUESTIONS:

  1. Is only one of these three USB drives the bootable one?  If yes, which one?  OR
can all three be "booted" from?
  2. Which one of the above in the list should be placed at the top as the bootable
    USB drive?

Thank you in advance,

JJ

The BIOS could recognize the USB drive as a USB HDD or a USB FDD. It wouldn't recognize it as a USB CDROM.

The best first choice would be the USB FDD.

Thank you so very much for your response.

I have not been able to boot from a USB using either the

    USB HDD or

    USB FDD

I have placed the USB in all three of the available USBs on this Acer Aspire One D250 1622 Netbook.

Is there something I might be doing wrong?

What are you trying to boot and did you make the USB drive bootable?

I sent you a Pvt. Msg.

Also, what did you mean by your question.  Did I make the USB Bootable?

    Thanks in advance.
