I receive a message that the hard drive must be empty to do this. Do I have to format all partitions or is it enough with C:?

Or do I have to delete all partitions as well?

I have an Aspire E5-771G-54VR.

These particions, are they part of the same drive?

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Have you created windows installation media? If you have then proceed furtherm

Enter into windows boot menu(assume you are with windows 10 or 8). After you enter in this menu press shift+f10 to open the command prompt the follow these steps:

    Type
    diskpart
    press enter
    then type
    list volume
remember the partition/volume number, which you want to format
    then type
select volume x - x is the number of the volume/partition you want select.
    type
    format fs=ntfs quick label=xxxx
'quick' is for quick format. If you want slow format just remove 'quick'. Label is if you want any label for your partition like 'Acer' or 'Data' for example just type anything where I have written x-es after label=. If you don't want any label just remove label= from the command.
