I tried to get help on Gateway but they wouldn't verify my SNID even though I know it's correct

My curser suddenly stopped working. I clicked on F5 that didn't work.  I shut down the computer and tried F2 and then tried F2. I tried to do a repair. I attached a mouse. None of these worked.  What else can I do to get my curser and or touch pad to work?  I have a Gateway Netbook with Windows 7. SNID is ***. I even took a photo of that is readable.

    Options

    Run main.cpl. Click on devices. What do you see? Also check Device Mgr for any HID or mouse errors. Report back.
