I have a new Acer Aspire (bought today) and pop ups keep occurring when I am web surfing

As you are getting pop-ups while surfing internet, you need to check if the pop-up blocker of your browser is enabled and then, enable the same if it's not done already. To do this, refer to the instructions below:

For Internet Explorer:
1. Open Internet Explorer window.
2. Go to "Tools" button and then, tap or click "Internet Options".
3. Go to "Privacy" tab and, under Pop-up Blocker, select the option "Turn on Pop-up Blocker".
4. Click "Ok".
