I downloaded the latest bios for my Aspire One D255-1268 note book. The readme file says that I must boot to

"pure Dos mode" in order to properly flash my BIOS. So my question is "how do I boot to pure dos"?

    Download Rufus:

    http://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US

plug an USB flash drive 512MB or 1GB is ok

set partition scheme to BIOS and MBR

    Filesystem FAT32

    Create bootable: MS-DOS

    click on Start

Done! you will have a pure DOS enviroment to boot from.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
