Laptop nes6r41u - for several updates now this laptop crashes randomly with DPC error. Everything is right up to date, drivers, W10, programs. Follows no pattern. Can't go very long without crash.

No 'watchdog' error it's something else - memory? It checks ok...

driving me crazy, makes laptop useless

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    download this tool, whocrashed:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe

before running it, browse to C:\windows\minidump
delete all files apart the first 2-3 files (newest)
then install whocrashed and run it
    click on Analyze
    report here the result.

have you already checked if any BIOS update is available for your laptop?

    please to a checkdisk:

    windows logo key + x

choose command prompt (admin) or power shell (admin)

    type

     chkdsk c: /f

say Y at request and restart your laptop

update bios? I have no idea how to do that.

If I can get it to the desktop long enough to run chkdsk I will.

Thanks. (I'm on my PC; I also have a laptop login issue with MS store which also causes a DPC and crash.)

I ran the chkdsk, it  rebooted, when I looked again it was at the login; when I went to check email it had a DPC error.

    It's now a doorstop;

thanks but this is too much frustration, I give up; so much for acer laptops.

    Thanks for your ideas.
