Can you upgrade the wifi card on an Aspire 5745

I would like to upgrade the wifi card to a 5Ghz or dual band card. I read online about the possibility of a whitelist for the Bios and to check that ? Any help would be great

Acer doesn't use white lists in the bios.

There is no dual band card listed for it, but I keep finding Intel drivers listed for the 5745 which lead to

The Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300, dual band.

I can't promise it will work,but for the money (below), I would buy the one that fits and try it.

Remove the battery and dummy card in the sdcard slot. Thake off the cover and see which one fits.

Sorry it took me so long to replay. I got pretty ill and spent some time in the hospital Smiley Happy So I ordered the card, from China so should be here by 2019. I opened the laptop, 2 antena, Broadcom 802.11n adapter. No where to go but up ! As soon as I get it, install it and see if I get 5Ghz. I'll be back to update.
