Hello, the first, excuse me for me english. I write this message to anyone can help me.

I have a Aspire Z5610 with the bios corrupted. I try BIOS Recovery from USB Storage, but not work !! I do:

Steps for BIOS Recovery from USB Storage:
Before doing this, prepare the Crisis USB key. The Crisis USB key could be made by executing the Crisis Disk
program in another system with Windows XP OS.
      Follow the steps below:

         1. Save ROM file (file name: JAL90x64.fd) to the root directory of USB storage.
         2. Plug USB storage into USB port.
         3. Press Fn + ESC button then plug in AC.
         The Power button flashes once.
         4. Press Power button to initiate system CRISIS mode.
When CRISIS is complete, the system auto restarts with a workable BIOS.
         5. Update the latest version BIOS for this machine by regular BIOS flashing process.

When press Fn + ESC , not entry in bios recovery mode or not i don´t know the mistake ! i try with different combinationkeys ( FN + B, WIN + B), with different stick usb, with differents versions of Crisis Disk ... anyone knows I do wrong ????

If press the only the key ESC can see:

I'm desperate !! someone can  help me ?? someone can tell me to try ??

thank you very much.

    superbullys,

How did you know the BIOS was corrupted to run the crisis method in the first place? It might not be that the problem is the BIOS but the mainboard itself.

    superbullys,

Thanks for the update. I asked how you knew because BIOS' really do not become corrupted easily. Depending ont he age of your system, contacting technical support might be your best course of action. They'll be able to test the mainboard itself and make sure it's not defective on a hardware level and they'll also make sure it's using the most current BIOS.

Hello, i solved the problem, replacing the chip bios.

i bought it in bios-chip24, the chip bios it´s:

    http://www.bios-chip24.com/epages/63730052.sf/de_DE/?ObjectID=14737780

you have to desolder the old chip, very carefully and then sold the new chip.

if everything it´s ok, your computer boot ok.

    luck !!
