My graphics card has stopped working - or at least it seem that way. I cannot open the Nvidia Control Panel, as it says "NVIDIA Display settings are not available. You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU." Device manager reports error 43, and I am unable to use acceleration in any programs.

Does anyone have any ideas about what to do? I've tried updating the drivers, and reverting to the ones on acer's website (they're from 2013, though).

Thanks! Let me know if you need any more info.

    (1) Are you still using the factory-installed Windows version?

    (2) Have you tried to uninstall the card from Device Mgr, exit Device Mgr and then do a cold re-boot to let Windows automatically detect and install the card driver?

    1. No, I've upgraded to windows 10 from 8.

    2. I don't believe I have tried this, I'll give it a shot tonight.
