Aspire 7141Z with Windows 10 version 1511 installed. Now an update to version 1607 is necessary. The download and preparation phase for the new version goes ok. The installation phase goes well until the second automatic restart. After the second restart, installation at about 70% ready, the restart don't comes to an end.

Disk controle is ok.

    Hi IronFly and others,

    I have updated my Windows 10 to version 1607. How...

    - Making a Windows iso disk and start-up the exe file: no success;

    + disable virusscanner/firewall and wifi: no success;

    + remove Logitech Mouse USB dongle from USB port: success!

    I got the error message 0xC1900101-0x40017 like many others on different computers. See forum answers.microsoft

    Instead of downloading the update each time, try to create a bootable USB flash drive with windows 10 anniversary, and run the update from it, sometimes this solve issues like yours.

    download the windows 10 update using Microsoft tool:

    Thanks for thinking with me.

    I have looked to the proposal and make a Windows 10 disk. But I think it don't work. I install again Windows 10 but I think it is not the most recent version (there is no information about this version on the Microsoft page). So after installing I have to do an upgrade and have the same problem.

    In my case all the software for the new version is already on the PC (download and preparation) only the installing is still necessary.

    if you create a DVD or USB flash media using the tool i linked, you must have the latest version.

    check the build version:

    windows logo key + r

    type

    winver
