G'day,

I feel like an absolute dope. I've been using computers since 1991. I should never have used a 'registry cleaner'.

I get this message "The specified procedure could not be found" every time I try to install a program, run an app such as to change the boot sequence, everything I have tried for days just crashes with the same result.

I have backed up all my files and just want to have the computer do a clean install on itself.

I can't even access a restore point - this same message comes up.

It shows the directory path and the name of the .exe that I am trying to use - even when simply trying to update Java:

If you can offer any suggestions I'd be very thankful.

Thanks

David

    Hello,

Which tool have you used to clean the registries?

Normally, you have a backup to restore in the previous database.

    OR

1- Remove Java 8 Update 45 in Programs.

2- Download the Windows offline version (64 bit) and install it.
