I want to add an SSD to my Aspire 5750, but don't know what the best way to go about it is. My idea is to take out my old HDD and put it into a caddy into my optical drive and then put the SSD into the original HDD bay. Will this work with my laptop? I want to run the operating system and the programs on the SSD and use the HDD as storage, how would I set that up?

Also my understanding is that if I wanted to upgrade my RAM I would need a 4gb 1333MHZ?

You first need to make a bootable image media from your existing HDD so you can load it onto the new SSD. The caddy for your old HDD should work. You need DDR3 memory equal to or faster than your existing memory.
