My Acer Aspire keeps restarting at the start Logo. I can enter BIOS but changing boot order to HDD first does not change anything. Also this began to occur after a had tried to clean my computer through the recovery options when pressing SHIFT + RESTART BUTTON, but It gave me a message when it reached 44 percent that it could not reset my laptop and required me to restart my laptop which started this restart loop.

I have windows 10, Acer Aspire  V3-551 Laptop.

I cant open up my laptop so yea...

If you're wanting to re-install windows 10, you can get Windows 10 media free from here.  Use the media creation tool. You'll need to go in to your BIOS settings to enable the F12 boot menu too.

If you're wanting to reset your PC to factory condition, then you can use your USB recovery drive or discs that you made when you first bought the PC.

If you forgot to create factory recovery media, then you can order them from Acer.

After you put your PC back to factory condition, you could simply upgrade to Windows 10 again using the media creation tool.

The thread below shows you how to wipe your drive and start over fresh with a clean install of Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. The instructions work for most PC's that originally came pre-installed with Windows 8 or 8.1 or Windows 10....and the instructions work with either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.

You can use the drivers that microsoft automatically gives you or get them from here.

My Acer 5742Z laptop also, constantly restarts or reboots. I don't think Its a overheating problem, because it does it when a cold start. It boots to the Acer logo; shows the "F2 to setup" notice and then reboots. During this boot cycling, the F2 does not work. But, sometimes it boots up normally. The cycle stops when I removed the DVD drive. So, I replaced the drive with a new one, without any change. It still continues to reboot. One note, sometimes, the laptop does not recognize the DVD drive. For, in My Computer, sometimes the drive is not shown. I've already replaced the HDD and removed each of the memory chips, one at a time. No change. It doesn't appear to be a Windows issue, because this happens before Windows loads. I am at a loss on what else to try. Could it be a Bios or motherboard issue? Any suggestions?
