Hello.

This morning my Acer Aspire v5-573G stopped working. When I tried starting it, it was on for like 2 seconds and then just shut down. After half on hour it didn't even want to start up for those 2 seconds anymore. I have tried to remove the battery and adapter and follow these instructions:

but it did not help.

My guess is that it's something wrong with the motherboard, maybe the CMOS battery?

I really don't want to turn it in for service since I use it for all my studies (I'm a computer science student so this sucks) and would really like to consider a quicker fix than shipping it for service. It would be devastating to be without it for more than a week.

Just to clarify, I have only put in an mSATA SSD. So no other changes on the hardware.
