On acer's driver website acer has various drivers for this system. This specific laptop has Intel video hardware.

For the video driver:

acer lists the Windows 7 64-bit:
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_Intel_10.18.10.3304_W81x64_A.zip

acer lists the Windows 8 64-bit driver as:
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_Intel_9.17.10.2867_W8x64_A.zip

acer lists the Windows 8 64-bit [upgrade from Windows® 7] as:
Service not available (this choice is broken)

acer lists the Windows 8.1 64-bit driver as:
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_Intel_10.18.10.3304_W81x64_A.zip

I have just done a perfectly clean install of windows 8.1 on a (new) blank hard drive.

The Windows 8.1 64-bit driver for video doesn't work, it says "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software", acer needs to put the proper driver (back) on the website for Windows 8.1.
