Hi!  I've tried for some time now and can't get my Windows 8.1 Pro Acer Aspire One725-0687 PCIe FE Family Controller to run at 100mbps.  My old Windows 7 Aspire One722 runs at 100mbps just fine!  I just got the Inventec PCIe FE Family Controller upgrade and that didn't fix it.  Any ideas?

    Drivers are updated?

have you tried to change the ethernet cable?

what's the top speed of router/modem?

check also on device manager, speed settings:

press windows key logo + x

    click on device manager

    click on network adapters

double click on your ethernet adapter

    click on advanced tab

check if Speed&duplex is available on the list

if so, click on it and set it to the top speed

    click ok

Tried all that and my cable modem and router are brand new dual band gigabit.  My old Windows 7 Pro Aspire One722 screams at 100mbps and my internet downloads are 60mbps whereas my Windows 8.1 Pro Aspire One725 only gets 20mbps downloads at the best!  I love both of them and really want to get this ethernet speed problem fixed!  Thanks for your help!

No Joy!  Still only showing 10Mbps when I look at the ethernet controller properties and the test download speed was only 9.53Mbps.  Sure appreciate your trying to help!

download this drivers (100% trustable website):

    http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php/downloads/func-startdown/1079/

uninstall the Realtek lan drivers or right click on ethernet adapter on device manager and choose uninstall

reboot and install the downloaded drivers.
