http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5200mah-Battery-For-Acer-Aspire-5551G-5552G-5560G-5733Z-5736Z-5749-5750-5755-/191084255358?

I made the mistake of not looking at the description. It mentions my laptop on the title, though. My original battery is  AS10D81 4400mAh/48Wh. The one I bought says "Replace AS10D3E, AS10D41, AS10D61 - 5200mAh/11.1 V" (= 57.7 Wh)

But the seller is sure, that it's compatible. I also have a charger only for my old battery. So is it really compatible?

I have had a look at the eBay listing and, unless I am looking at the wrong Acer documentation, your battery is totally different. Also, the seller states 11.1V. I believe the 5560G uses a 14.8V battery. Can you check your battery voltage and also compare with the attached picture (full info from your PSU would be helpful too).

Here's all the info of my old battery:

    AS10D81 (3INR19/65-2)

    Lithium Ion Battery Pack

    Rating: 10.8V 440mAh/48Wh

    PSE 10.8V 4.2Ah

My old charger (I also replaced that one):

    PA-1900-320

    New:

    PA-1700-02

    And both of them have:

    Input: 100-240V~1.8A

    50/60Hz

    Output: 19V 4.74a

And how do I compare the old battery with that attached picture? Neither of my 2 batteries are shaped like that.

So the battery I bought is NOT compatible? Why is that, and what would happen if I used it?

Hey, look at this. This is the ebay description of the new battery I bought, and it says:

    • 100% compatible replacement battery as original one
    • Voltage:11.1V (10.8Volt compatible)
    • Capacity:5200MAH
    • Cell Qty:6
    • Color:Black
    • Cell material: Li-ion

    ->

    Voltage:11.1V (10.8Volt compatible)

And my old battery is exactly 10.8V

Do you guys know how is it possible that it would be compatible??

I've checked on a french wholesaler website and I found a compatible battery whose the voltage is 11.1V.

    I think there's no problem.

I just need a clear answer, because I don't want to destroy my laptop, and if the title and the seller says it's compatible, and the seller has thousands of positive feedback (96%+), people should have experience with this kind of situation, and it would save me another month of waiting if I just could get a clear answer. I tried googling, but people are just debating about it..

This is Acer forum, so I though someone would know the answer - I'm of course grateful for your responses, but the problem has still not been solved.... is there a manufacturer/developer/something like that who would definitely know about this, and whom I could reach through internet?

I don't think it fit properly, the connectors (not the electrical ones) are slightly longer, but it stays there, it's been a day now, and it works. Actually, you could just cut them shorter and it would work, they're just plastic.

The battery life is about 3h, and it fully charges.
