Find the Acer Best for You

I currently own an Acer Aspire 5251 and it's worked great for me, however it's been getting beat up recently. I'm looking to buy a new computer soon, and I would like to get one with as similar a layout as possible. It would be even better if I would be able to just move my current hard drive to a new computer, so if there is one with a similar hard drive space layout (or the metal bracings on the side could be removed and changed?), that would be great too. I'm mildly restricted to a lower end of the spectrum (<$500).

Thanks, but that's why I'm here - I'm looking for opinions of others who may have done the same or who have the computers themselves.
