I have an Acer Aspire E1-531 and want to connect my laptop to my Sony Bravia TV. I have manged to see the laptop screen detail  on the tv but cannot hear the laptop sound on the tv. How do I achieve this?

Without having looked up what connections you have available on your E1 and on the Bravia,  you may need to connect a separate (stereo) audio cable.  Take good look at the available connections and read the Bravia user's manual.
