i have a aspire e5-571g laptop which lags when running on battery . plz help

so my laptop runs smoothly when plugged in but lags when unplugged . at first i thought it was due to nvidia experience s battery boost which i cant disable . then i asked nvidia online support for help and they suggested me to upgrade my motherboards BIOS which i dont know how . and now im here ,end of story .PLZ HELP ME PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    To find drivers for your laptop, go here and find your model,

    http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

    Here is the latest bios. Download it and extract it to a new folder on the desktop.

    Make sure the laptop is plugged in and the battery is charged. Open the folder, find the executable, click it and don't do anything else unless told to.

    ok heres the weird thing . back in summer my laptop lagged when unplugged . but it works normaly now . i dont know why . maybe is it because of the cold?
