aspire e15 bios upgrade to 1.31 fails when the insyde app gives error message "no rom file found" - seems like flashing the bios on these machines is not an easy chore.

Try again. If that doesn't work, redownload it from the offical Acer driver site and retry, then contact Acer support. But you can wait for a more constructive answer from a better staff member.

no sense in retrying when a .rom bios file is clearly missing ...... but i did, with insyde yielding the same error message.  side note - these new machines with their ties to windows are annoying when you want to run with linux instead.  ack.

fixed.  FNALLY found the 1.37 bios, loaded it, works perfectly.
