How do I make my speakers have the same loudness they have when the screen is off?

On my Aspire E5-575G I play music all the time. I had it playing for a while and then the screen backlight timed out and suddenly the computer got quite a bit louder and better sounding; however, when I woke it back up, the speakers went back to a much quieter and lower quality sound and some slight crackling. How do I fix this?

  • The display uses a lot of power. When it went out it supercharged the speakers with more power than they normally get. With the backlight back on, they are getting the power they are supposed to get. Normally, you're not going to get that loudness.

Any way I can get these to be supercharged with the screen on?

  • You can try going to playback devices, right click on your speaker, select enhancements and check the box for loudness equalization. That might help.
