Hello everyone!
I want to connect my external monitor (BenQ 21.5"), to my laptop.
I am using a HDMI -> DVI adapter to connect to the monitor. I only get a "No signal detected!" message on the screen.
1. I have tried reinstalling the Intel Graphics drivers. Still doesn't work.
2. The monitor, the HDMI cable and the HDMI + DVI adaptor works, because I have tried on another computer.
3. I have tried Windows+P, Intel Graphics settings, computer screen settings. They still can't locate a second monitor.
It seems that the fault now lies within the laptop.
Any ideas what else I could try to do?
Possible culprits:
I recently installed Windows 10 on this computer, and then I did a clean installation of it. I didn't try to connect the monitor while I still had Windows 8.1.
I was dead-sure that it was the HDMI that was non-functioning, but I guess I was wrong.
I hooked up my laptop and an old TV via the HDMI cable and I got it to work.
So now I have narrowed the errors down to the connection between my laptop and the monitor, so this thread is not relevant anymore to the subjec, or anything related to Acer.
