Aspire E5-722-89MU card reader question

Hi, does anyone know for sure if the built in card reader will read micro SDXC cards or just SDHC please (both in an adapter of course)?  And if it takes the UHS version of these?

My teen son wants a new HD camcorder for his b'day and the one I'm looking at one that can take both types so I was thinking of getting his an XC one because of increased storage size and read/write speeds.  He'll be going to US on a school trip next Saturday (Apr 9th) to film the soccer and rugby interschool games but won't have a laptop with him to move/store files on after each.  So I'm thinking to get him the biggest storage capacity cards I can (unless anyone has any other ideas??).  He'll be taking a ipad but only an old 8GB school one.

Many thanks for any help.

SDXC cards are pre-formatted with Microsoft's proprietary and patented exFAT file system,

If Microsoft Windows can read xfat it can read SDXC.

    Yes, it can.
