Hi guys,

My keyboard recently stopped working properly. On the number pad, 8, / and enter are not responsive at all. Can someone please help? Thanks. Before this I've tried searching for a solution on google, and I've tried shutting down the computer, remove battery and power cable, then press and hold the power button for at least 20 seconds. It worked but after a bit, the problem is back. Can anyone please help?

thank you

Try it again and if it works try to determine how you are building up static so fast.  Are you on carpets with wool sox on?

Go to PC settings, ease of access, keyboard and see if any "useful keys" are turned on.

Open Device Manager, keyboards and right click on keyboard and select uninstall. Reboot.

Get a can of air and blow out the keys as well as you can.

Download Sharpkeys and see if it can help, https://sharpkeys.codeplex.com/

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

none of the useful keys are on (if you're refering to sticky keys, onscreen, toggle etc.)

I tried uninstalling the keyboard on device manager and restarted.

Sharekeys wouldn't respond when i press the 8,/ or enter on the number pad.

I don't have access to canned air at the moment.

Is there anything else I could do?

You may need to take the caps off those keys and clean them up or get a new keyboard.
