Hello guys. I have an Acer Aspire E1-531 and the touchpad stop working. It works fine 2 days ago. Now I had to fix the DC power cable. Evertying works fine, except the touchpad.

I googled the problem and I found that the bios should have an option Touchpad with choices Basic, Andvanced, but I can't find that option in my bios (bios version 2.21). How should I procced?

   Thanks for your help.

P.S.: Do you think it doesn't work because I pulled out the motherboard battery and I put it back or beucase I'm using Legacy Boot Mode?

It's quite possible the touchpad is not working since you opened the system to reseat the motherboard battery. It could be the BIOS on this product did not include the flag for the touchpad. Unfortunately we cannot provide repair information but to rule out a software problem we would suggest you restore the system back to factory configurations via eRecovery utility. If at that point the touchpad still doesn't work, we would recommend repair.
