    • acer aspire E1-521-0694 bios flash failure

    My son tried to update the bios of his acer aspire E1-521-0694 but something went wrong. Now the laptop won't even boot but give a black screen and doesn't do anything at all.

     I tried several restarts and the LCD came on but just a black screen

    It looks like a BIOS issue to me

    What can be done?

      If it won't boot past a black screen, most likely the system requires repair service. We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

      If there is an error message about the size of the flash file and it is ignored the flash will most likely brick the board, as above tech support or hands on shop is required here.

      I did get technical support and they did confirm that my only option was a complete re-install. So now I have a clean laptop.
