Windows 10 recovery failing on Acer E17

Bought a spanking new Acer E17  E5-773g-5273 and swapped the 1 TB HDD with a samsung 250 gb SSD. Before I swapped the 1 TB HDD I made a USB recovery disk and was hoping to use that to recreate the OS on the new SSD. Everything boots up and starts to reinstall the OS then at 69% it fails...what gives!?

I tried loading a windows 7 on the SSD and it installed it properly but no driver is available for windows 7 and all of the connections are not working becuase no drivers are installed. I can try installing the windows 10 drivers even for the LAN to be able to update the windows 7 to windows 10 then download all the required windows 10 driver from the support page of ACER but that will take too long. I prefer to try the get the USB recovery working so that in the future I know I have a good backup.

Thanks!

it will detect the product key from BIOS, no need to buy a new windows license.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
