While on web last night, my Aspire M5-582PT-6852 just suddenly died! Screen went black & no running sounds or lights. Tried Ctrl-alt-del, Esc, & powering off for 30 sec.w/ disconnect/reconnect after -- all w/ nothing! Did Win.10 upgrade a few mos. ago & have had no problems. Build date is 2013/05/24. Light use. No drops. This seems way too soon for a laptop to just DIE! Anyone ... HELP?!?!

No. No LEDs or anything at all. Thank you!
Wondering if taking battery out will help, but can't figure out HOW?!?! Good thing I still have this old Toshiba running XP! Hahaha

Found Youtube video & now see how to remove battery. Gone are the good old days of just popping it out! I will wait to see if other solns. are offered before I try to open the case! Do you think removing the battery will help?

Thanks. Link didn't help. Hadn't opened "memory compartment door." Didn't even know where it was. Now that I do, it seems fine. Nothing in SD reader slot, either.
    Trying all this w/ & w/o A/C power.
Will try removing battery if no other ideas.

Disconnected battery (for about 2 hrs.). Connected it back & closed all back up. Still nothing. No LEDs, no noise, nada.

This laptop was bought from Best Buy in Sept. of 2013. Is it typical for Acer laptops to just die after 2 yrs. of light use (and on a cool pad, mo less)? Anyone have any other ideas?

Anyone think it might help to flash the bios like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OkAwxcJ1Ms

you can try but you must know the exact BIOS recovery label to rename your .fd file
