Acer E5-574-53QS has specified 16GB maximum memory. It has one slot free, with 4GB already installed.

Can I remove the instlled 4GB, and then add 2 new 8GB SIMMs?

    Hello,

    Yes of course. I confirm your laptop supports up to 16Gb - DDR3L - 1600MHz (2x8Gb).

    1. Original memory modules:
      Spoiler
      KN.8GB07.022SODIMM.DDR3L.1600.8GB (Kingston)
      KN.8GB0B.030SODIMM.DDR3L.1600.8GB (Samsung)
      KN.8GB0G.022SODIMM.DDR3L.1600.8GB (Hynix)
    2. Compatible memory modules:
      Adata: ADDS1600W8G11
      Crucial
      Kingston

Note: Aspire E5-574 and E5-574G have the same memory specifications.

Thank you so much. I also think 1866 will work. Anyway I will give it a try. Crucial says 1866 is compatible.

    16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 SODIMM CT8107680
    • DDR3 PC3-14900 • CL=13 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1866 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 •
    • upgrade for Acer Aspire E5-574 system.

This is because it's i5-6200U speed up to 2133.

    Hello,

Not exactly, the Intel I5-6200U specifications:

    • DDR4-2133MHz
    • LPDDR3-1866MHz
    • DDR3L-1600MHz so they will work at 1600MHz not at 1866MHz.

    http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-e5-574-53qs

Crucial lists several 1866 modules as compatible with e5-574-53qs.

I found your intel compatibility at:

    http://ark.intel.com/products/88193/Intel-Core-i5-6200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_80-GHz

I'm not sure LPDDR3 comes in modules. It may be soldered down.

What SO-DIMM module products are compatible with e5-574-53qs at higher than 1600 speeds.

1600MHz is the maximum frequency supported in DDR3L technology. Buy memory modules at 1866MHz is not useful. Yes they are compatible but they will work at 1600MHz.

Acer has several modles listed as DDR4

      VN7-572G-53E7, E5-575G-52RJ,  F5-573-505W,  E5-575G-53VG, E5-774G-570J.

Will these Laptops run at 2133. with DDR4 and do they require DDR4. I also see a number of Products that say LPDDR3. Again who makes modules that can be added to a laptop that are LPDDR3. I will Google this.

E.g. E5-575G-52RJ is shipped with 8Gb DDR4 2133MHz but it's not the same motherboard. LPDDR3 is directly soldered on the motherboard so it's not possible. Your motherboard only supports DDR3L.

Does E5-575G-52RJ use DDR4 modules? I think some systems can handle 32GB. Do all the LPDDR3 laptops not allow upgrades because the RAM is soldered down. One of the major advantages of the 6th generation Intel chips is faster memory. So these questions directly show Acer motherboard engineering.

I want to upgrade my aspire E5-573G model using 16GB RAM (DDR3L 1600MHz SODIMM
(2x8GB) Acer compatible kit) because my laptop has 4gb inbuilt RAM installed. Is that possible. Is it compatible and will the laptop support it?

    Please reply ASAP
    Thank you
