I'm reinstalling Windows from discs but I'm stuck in a screen asking me to choose Region and Language. It won't let me select!
Anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks

    ok, enter BIOS pressing F2 key at boot, check if BIOS is set as UEFI and secure boot is enabled.

    you can also try to reload BIOS default, pressing F9 after entering BIOS and then F10 to save and exit, then try again to install windows.

    i can also suggest to wipe your HDD, to avoid other issues:

    press Shift+F10 at language/keyboard screen options, to enter Command prompt.
    once in command prompt type
    diskpart
    then on diskpart type
    list disk
    take note of the correct disk ID to erase
    type
    select disk x
    (x is the ID of your HDD to erase)
    type
    clean
    type exit

    proceed to windows installation

    Thanks but no luck. Did the first two and reinstalled, same problem.
    Didn't bother with last point as it's a new drive (hence the install)

    no other ideas apart creating a new bootable USB flash drive using the windows 8.1 vanilla iso:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8

    i suggest you to download the iso file and then use rufus to create the bootable USB flash drive:

    https://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US

    set it as on the main page screen.

    on your E15 enter BIOS and look to enable F12 key at boot, so you can plug your USB installation media, press F12 at boot and then select the USB flash drive brand/name and boot from it.

    @Ironfly

    His model came with Windows 8.1 w/ Bing

    @6cjw

    Since your computer came with Windows 8.1 w/ Bing instead of just Windows 8.1, that means you really have three choices to re-install.

    1.  Use Alt+F10 (obviously this won't work on a brand new HDD/SSD)

    2.  Hope that you remembered to create a USB factory default recovery drive when you first bought the computer (and can find that USB flash drive)

    3. Order your original OEM recovery media from Acer

    Windows 8.1 w/ Bing is a special Windows 8.1 version.

    I guess you could contact the Acer Store or Acer and explain the problem.
