Hello Acer Community

Roughly 2 Years ago i Bought an Acer Aspire E1-572G

Immediately i set up a clean Win8, used it for 2 years without issues, then upgraded to win10, also without issues.

Starting this month, i switched to Kubuntu 14.04LTS. At the beginning everything went smoothly.

Yesterday the problems started:

Under load, the CPU fan speeds up, but it doesn't slow down again, even after cooling down to ~42°C(where the fan should turn off).

This leads to the fan running at full speed while the CPU is at 40°C and there's only cool air coming from the exhaust.

I tried several fan control tools, they didn't achieve anything.

lmsensors and fancontrol in linux were powerless.

By now i switched back to Windows, but even there the problem persists and every fan control tool i tried didn't have any effect.

BIOS-reset didn't help.

Would it be recommendable to flash the BIOS? Do you have other advices?

Edit:

Sorry, i was so focused on the issue that i didn't realize i was making a German post in an international community.
