Connecting power cord slows down my internet connection

Member Posts: 2 New User

I have a new Acer Aspire E15 Touch. Every time I connect the power cable to charge the laptop my internet speed drops significantly. This is the first time I bought an Acer and can't believe this Smiley Sad Is this a typical Acer issue? Any way I can fix this?

    bubbelbine,

Check your power options, there might be something in there that has it going to maximum power saving when plugged in possibly.

    1. Control Panel
    2. Power Options
    3. Change Plan Settings
    4. Change Advanced Power Settings
    5. Click the + sign next to Wireless Adapter Settings
    6. Click the + sign next to Power Saving Mode
    7. Make sure the drop down box next to Plugged in is set to maximum performance

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Just checked my settings but it's already on maximum performance. Any other idea?

    bubbelbine,

Thanks for checking, the next thing I can think of would be to update the wireless drivers.
