Can I install a CD/DVD drive from a Acer Aspire 6920 to my Acer Aspire ES1 531 C97T?

I have an Acer Aspire ES1 531 C97T that came with no CD/DVD player installed in it but does have a slot where one can be installed. Can I install the one I have already for an Acer Aspire 6920 laptop that I don't use at the moment because the screen is damaged? If so do I need to install anything else if I put that one in?

The 6920 drive might be too thick for the ES1 case. Jack E/NJ

You're right JackE/NJ! Any suggestions on which to use or type of CD/DVD drive is best for the ES1?

Well that depends on if you really need the portability. If so, google the keywords "optical" "drive" "es1-511" for internal drives that'll fit, ~50USD. If not, just about any USB external optical drive would be fine, cheap & plentiful. Me? I don't do physical discs. I use a virtual CD/DVD drive that reads & writes CD/DVD-type files. Jack E/NJ
