I've had my Aspire ES1-111M for a few years now and have had no problems with the SD card reader until now. It is not the card as I have tried a few others and none worked. When the card is inserted, I get no indication that anything is detected. The driver says it is up to date in the device manager. Any ideas? Thanks!

try to uninstall the card reader from Device manager (right click it and choose to uninstall) and reboot, let windows re-install the device and check if it works.

Open Device Manager. Left click on USB controllers. Right click on USB card reader or USB mass storage controller. Uninstall the driver. Exit Device Manager. Reboot and let Windows re-detect the card reader and automatically re-install the driver. Then see if the card is recognized. Jack E/NJ
