I own an Aspire E1-731.  I have problems with the cursor jumping all over the place.  It will even delete items that I have typed.  These are completely at  random and with no warning.

For example - I type 125 wpm, this message just took me almost 5 minutes to type!

Try to "Enable Tap", that might help you.

When I first started using a laptop with a touch pad in the center, I had the same problem. If you have a mouse or trackball to move your cursor, you may want to disable your touch pad; this is often a subfunction of the mouse driver. (Or, look under "Devices" in the Windows Control Panel.) If you can type 125wpm you are probably a trained touch-typist and the hand motions you are used to for a typewriter will probably bring various parts of each hand in contact with the touch pad in ways that seem random. Because you move so fast, the cursor movement will also be rapid and seemingly random.
