4 day old E5.  Palm check is missing (among other things) on this touchpad.  Anybody know of a fix.  Tried downloading Synapsis Driver, No Joy.  I hate this HID touchpad driver setup.  Going to return If you guys don't have

any additional input.  It's so bad I can't use the laptop without turning off the touchpad.  You can almost blow on it and get it to do something.  ACER!!!!!  FIX THIS!!!!!  I see a LOT of returns in your future.

BTW this is the third Acer Laptop purchased in the last year.

Anybody know a work around?

Thanks so much!

Rob

    RobWhatley,

It sounds like your notebook uses the precision touchpad. There are only certain things that can be adjusted with it, and in your case regarding the palm check that option is near the bottom of the screen. Here are the instructions on what everything does and what can and cannot be done, paying attention to the very bottom option that has to do with "palm checking".

    Hi Justin,

I initially went to the page (touchpad adjustments) you reference.  Didn't see "anything" about palm check.

Thinking I'd missed it after your reply, I just went back to that page.  Seems to have a lot of different adjustments, but NO adjustment for Palm Check.  The very bottom of the page has one option under "related settings"  that option is "Additional mouse options" and has nothing to do with "touchpad"....the options for touchpad are as follows:

    Touchpad On/OFF

Leave touchpad on with mouse is connected, and BTW (A mouse is connected)

    Revverse scrolling direction

To help prevent the cursor from accidentally moving while you type, turn off taps or change the delay currently set at long delay.

    Chage cursor speed

    Allow taps on Touchpad

    Allow right-clicks on the touchpad

    Allow double tap and drag

Use a two finger tap for right click

Use a two finger drag to scroll

Use a two finger pinch to zoom

Choose what to use with three finger tap

Choose what to use with three finger drags and slided

    then,

    "Related settings"

    and on the very bottom of screen;

"Additional mouse options"  (all the options for the mouse... nothing for touchpad.

    Nothing below that.....am I SOL?

    Thanks Jason,

    Rob

    RobWhatley,

This part right here (below) is the "palm check" option that touch pad has.
