Guys, I've a little problem with my new Acer Aspire E5-452G.

It's based on AMD FX8800P carrizo dual graphic R5 335 and R7

The problem is with 3d gaming as the performance is not very good at all.

I'm running DOTA2@720P with no AA and SHADOW-LOW.

Other options are max out.

My framerate is around 20-50.

My laptop has only one memory stick (8GB), thus, it's running on single channel.

Just wondering, if it is possible for me to upgade it to 16GB dual channel (8GB X 2)?

If yes, will I gain more framerate? and which memory stick/kinds will be campatible to my laptop?

Can I buy the memory somewhere on the internet and add it to my laptop by myself without voiding my warranty?

Thanks guys

    waytarn,

This notebook shows that it supports a maximum of 16 GB of DDR3L (1.35 V) 1333/1600 204-pin memory using two 8 GB modules. Your warranty would not be voided if you added the memory, just be careful and do not damage it at all.

We have tested the following 8 GB modules of memory in this system:

    Kingston

    ACR16D3LS1KNG/8G

    Samsung

    M471B1G73EB0-YK0

    Hynix

    Dear Justin

    Thank you very much

I have sucessfully upgraded the memory

It was not that easy with deassembly, but somehow I managed to do it without any problems.

    Many thanks
