Hi

I'm not exactly new to onboard/dedicated graphics card, but are laptops supposed to operate with both?

I have an Aspire F5-573G, are these laptops supposed to use both? Or is it possible to only use the dedicated one?

Also, is the on board graphics using up the physical memory installed?

Thanks

Intel GPU will use the system memory, nvidia will use it's dedicated memory (2GB if i remember correctly)

normally the OS will use the Intel GPU to save battery and switch to nvidia when system is set to high performance or a program is listed to run under nVidia card.

you can choose which software will use nvidia on nvidia control panel.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
